Stress-Fighting Protein Balls

When you find yourself feeling stressed, this is the perfect treat to help you reconnect with your inner calm.

These balls are gluten free, dairy free, sugar free, vegan and contain adaptogens and superfoods to help your body respond to stress. 

This recipe contains almonds and tahini which are both high in magnesium. Studies have shown that magnesium may be an effective treatment for anxiety-related symptoms, as low levels of magnesium reduce the level of the neurotransmitter serotonin in the brain.

12 almonds contain 75mg of magnesium which is 19% of your daily recommended value.

Tahini is made out of sesame seeds which are filled with antioxidants, which help combat oxidative stress 

The Epic Protein Chocolate Maca  contains adaptogens and antioxidants which will help keep stress levels balanced. 

The Beauty Bar Chocolate contains rhodiola which aids in restoring our body's stress response so we can handle each days' ups and downs and navigate life with grace. 

Stress-Fighting Chocolate Ginger Protein Balls

Makes 13-15

  • 1 cup ground flax seeds 
  • 1 cup almonds 
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon 
  • A dash of ground ginger powder
  • 1/3 cup raw cacao powder 
  • 1 tbsp raw carob powder 
  • 1/2 cup organic tahini
  • 2 tbsp Epic Protein Chocolate Maca 
  • Chopped Beauty Bar Chocolate 
  • Optional: 
  • Vanilla Extract 
  • Monk Fruit Sweetener or Stevia 
  • Flakey Sea Salt

Blend flax seeds and almonds together in a high speed food processor or blender.

Once fully combined into a flour like texture (it shouldn't take too long!) add raw cacao powder, carob powder, cinnamon, ground ginger and Epic Protein Chocolate Maca  protein powder until fully combined.

Next add in tahini and blend until your mixture resembles a dough like texture.

Optional: add in a dash of vanilla extract and monk fruit/stevia 

Turn off blender and using a spatula or spoon mix in chopped Beauty Bar Chocolate 

Roll into balls

sprinkle with flakey sea salt (optional)


Store in the freezer or fridge.
